About
Irish Rose Acres
We've raised Miniature Dachshunds since 2017 and usually have 3 to 4 litters a year. Families come to us for happy, calm, well socialized pups and the fact we are always just a call or text away.

Why we breed Miniature Dachshunds
Breeding quality Miniature Dachshunds with love, integrity, and a commitment to the future of the breed.
At Irish Rose Acres, we breed Miniature Dachshunds because of our deep love for the breed and our commitment to preserving its outstanding temperament, structure, and health for future generations. Our dogs are cherished family members and our puppies are raised in our home with daily love, socialization, and care.
We focus on producing healthy, well-adjusted companions that will bring joy to their families for years to come. We believe in transparency throughout the adoption process, including video chats, and we welcome visits, so families can feel confident and connected every step of the way.
Our goal is not simply to breed puppies, but to help create lasting bonds between exceptional Dachshunds and loving homes.

Who we are
My husband and I run our program. I generally do puppy clean up, baths, feedings and the day to day operations, and my husband does the heavy lifting like keeping the outdoor play areas clean and pest free!
We make sure that our clients receive plenty of pictures and videos of their pups' journey while they wait for their baby to come home. We also health test every parent and we work to stay in touch with our puppy parents.

Where our dogs live
We have a small, home-based breeding program located on 5 acres in Archer, Florida, just outside of Gainesville. Our Miniature Dachshunds are raised as part of our family, where they receive daily love, attention, and socialization.
By keeping our program small, we can focus on the health, temperament, and well-being of each dog and puppy, ensuring they receive the individual care they deserve from birth until they join their forever families.
When our program dogs are not pregnant, they live in their kennels, which have AC and heat, and they have 3 acres to explore. When a dam gets pregnant, she comes into the house to give birth and stays until her pups are 8 weeks old.
We live in Archer, FL, a small town just outside of Gainesville, FL, home of the University of Florida.
Serving Florida, Georgia, southern Alabama and southern South Carolina.
Why dachshunds
Dachshunds are beloved for their big, comedic personalities packed into a compact frame, offering fierce loyalty, intense affection, and endless entertainment. Originally bred in Germany to hunt badgers, these "wiener dogs" combine the brave independence of a hound with the cuddly nature of a dedicated companion.
However, a family must be prepared for their stubborn streak, loud bark, and specific physical limitations to keep them healthy.
What we produce
Purebred Miniature Dachshunds.
Our colors and patterns range from Black & Tan, Reds, and Chocolates to Piebalds and Dapples.
Velcro companionship
They form intensely deep bonds, love to burrow under blankets, and will shadow you from room to room.
Natural clowns
Their waddly walk, highly expressive eyes, and spunky antics bring constant laughter to a household.
Watchdog vigilance
Despite their small size, they possess a surprisingly deep, sharp bark and take home security very seriously.
Variety of styles
They fit any aesthetic or preference, coming in two sizes (Standard and Miniature) and three distinct coat types (Smooth, Longhaired, and Wirehaired).
